If you memorize songs, monolouges, speeches, poems and lines at a young age, do you develop a sharper memory, just learn skills of how to memorize, or just get used to it? Can your memory actually improve, or do you just have to be born with that good memory?

Language acquisition has a lot to do with memory in an early age.
If a child learns to speak and communicate quickly, he/she is able to start labeling experiences with words that have meaning to him, thus creating memories.
As for improvement, i think its not only about memorizing, but also about learning how to categorize memories so that its easier to retrieve from the whole database of memories. The difficult part is not storing it in memory most of the time, its retrieving it from the memory bank.
